MLB Disabled List

+ Injuries by Team
  • The purpose of the disabled list is to provide a status type for injured players which would allow them to remain with a team without taking up a roster spot.
  • A player placed on a 7-day or 15-day DL by a Major League club remains on the 40-man roster but not on the active 25-man roster but the player must remain off the roster for 7 or 15 days.
  • DL dates are approximate. Players may have been placed on DL earlier (retroactively) than the date listed.
  • Players on the 60-day disabled list are removed from the 40-man roster allowing a space to open up for another player, however the player cannot return to the 40-man roster for 60 days.
  • Injury statuses are only relevant during the season.
  • Use the search box to find historical injuries (since May 2012) based on a keyword
