Had a 21 game hitting streak for the Newark Orioles and batted .329 with 5 home runs his first year in professional baseball. His first and last professional hits were home runs. The first coming against the Niagara Falls White Sox at Sal Maglie Stadium in June 1983 and the last coming against the Baseball City Royals while playing for the Miami Miracle in the Florida State League.
