 Trivia and Player Notes
Eric played both pitcher and catcher at North Cobb High School before giving up pitching after high school. He has also competed in the U.S. Olympic festival and played for the USA Junior National team.

At Georgia Tech, he was a professional prospect and a hard working catcher who excelled at blocking balls with an excellent throwing arm. His coach, Danny Hall, thought he had the best throwing arm for a catcher in the country. McQueen majored in management.

Eric joined the Rockies Class "A" Affiliate, Asheville Tourists after being drafted by Colorado in 1999 and also played for the Salem Avalanche before retiring from baseball on April 19, 2001 after being released by the Rockies the previous December.

Served as a coach for an East Cobb under-18 travelling team after his career. His father Jim McQueen played football at East Tennessee State University.
