Gonzalez is an unbelievably gifted player with a tremendous upside. He is a 4 tool player that should work his arm to slightly above average in the future. His 6.5 speed as well as his insticts on the base paths should make him a high draft pick. He is a solid left handed contact hitter that hits for a high average. Although his freshman college statistics do not reflect that because of a complicated wrist injury. He led the team in hitting as a freshman about half way through the season batting .392 with 13 stolen bases and then slipped down as he tried to play with a broken hand he did not know was broken until the end of the season.
Expect great things from this agressive minded lead-off outfielder whose routes are getting better with every game. Has the potential to put together an All-American 2006 season. Should help UNC-Greesnsboro to a much wanted regional appearance. One of the great rising stars of the Southern Conference.
