 Trivia and Player Notes
Made a guest voice appearance in an episode of "The Simpsons" called Homer at the Bat where Homer's boss Mr. Burns assembles a team of ringers to compete in a corporate baseball league to insure a championship. The 9 Major Leaguers are given jobs at Mr. Burns' Nuclear Plant, enabling them to qualify for the team. Each of the players endures a serious injury before the final game forcing the team's real employees to take over and setting the stage for Homer to be a hero where he is hit by a pitch to force in the winning run. Boggs was injured when he was punched out by Barney at Moe's Tavern during an argument about England's greatest prime minister.

Notes: Played in 12 all-star games during his career (1985-1996)....Member of the World Series Champion New York Yankees in 1996.
