What are Page Sponsorships

TBC Page Sponsorships provide the ability to add your name, link, a brief message and a banner to individual player pages on the TheBaseballCube.Com.

What are the Benefits?

The ability to promote your web site or business by including a link/banner/message on the page you sponsored. In addition, your site's name will be included on hundreds of other pages (as a link) throughout the web site on non-sponsored pages. The more pages you sponsor, the more presence you will have on our site. Sponsorships are a great way to target your site to people who might be interested. If you have a Baltimore Orioles web site, sponsor an Orioles prospect page or an Orioles team page to attract fans.

The other benefit of sponsoring a page is that you will help to keep the web site free and it will show your appreciation for all of the work that goes on behind the scenes of the site. If you use the data on the site for your fantasy leagues or as reference data on your web site, you can show your support/appreciation by sponsoring a page a year. Its a big THANK YOU to TBC.

Do I have to sponsor a page?

Of course not. You are free to use the data provided for free and there is nothing stopping you from doing that. Keep in mind though that since the advent of the Internet a decade ago, we have become accustomed to receiving mass amounts of information for free without regards to the people behind the scenes produding the data. And we forget that prior to the Internet, statistics were only available via publications that had a cost.

What if I don't have a baseball site or any site at all?

All sites are welcome to sponsor a page. You can also sponsor a page without providing a link or a message. In fact, you could sponsor a page anonymously if you wish. There is no requirement that a sponsorship be related to the site that is sponsoring the page.

What is the purpose

1. To provide a low-cost advertising solution for sites looking for some exposure without the big advertising budget.
2. To provide a mechanism for regular site visitors to "pay" for their consistent use of the data that is generally provided for free.

How do I pay for my sponsorship?

At this point, we accept PayPal or check. Paypal information is available on the sponsorship form page and check information can be sent to you upon request.

Is there a bulk rate?

Yes. Contact Christine through our Contact Form by choosing "Sponsorships" as the subject. Let us know how many sponsorships you would like to purchase and Chris will get back to you with a price.

Will I receive traffic?

If you post a link, yes, you will receive some traffic and the more traffic your page receives, the more likely that visitors will click through to your site. Your sponsorship will be loaded first and so visitors are guaranteed to notice your site and if they don't click through, the name of your site will be exposed to the visitor.

Which pages can I sponsor?

You will notice a light-blue box below the page title on all pages that are available for sponsorship.



Click on "sponsorship" for further instructions. If you find a page without the blue box, yet you would like to sponsor the page, please let us know and we'll work out a price.

Is this a scam?

No. We have never received a request for a sponsorships cancellation nor have we had any problems with any sponsors in the past. Sponsorships are posted within 36 hours of receipt 95% of the time. The other 5% of the time, the delay is usually caused by payment delay or incomplete information.

I'd like to Sponsor a page, what are the rules?

+ All sponsorships will need to be approved by TBC and we refuse the right to refuse a sponsorship.
+ Text messages must not be offensive or extremely negative. In each case, if payment has been received, we will ask for a re-write of the message.
+ Grammar may be corrected.
+ Sponsoring a page that disappears will result in a credit towards another page of your choice of equal or lesser cost.
+ Prices will change from year to year
+ You will receive first crack at re-upping your sponsorship each year
+ First-come, first-serve. Sponsorships can only be reserved for 2 weeks, until payment has been received.
