Lineup History

The Retrosheet boxscore data provides a level of detail that includes starting lineups for all games which allows us to provide a historical view of lineups throughout recent MLB history.

There are pages on the site that will provide you with 3 views of lineups, all displayed by season. (1) Offensive Batting Lineups. #1-9 starting batting lineup for each game (2) Defensive Lineups. A view of starting lineups by position by game (3) Starting Pitcher Logs. A team's starting pitchers and their results for their start.

The defensive view will include Designated Hitter for home games in AL parks and the lineup views are available per team since 1957. Along with the lineups, the game results and links to boxscores and play-by-play will be displayed.
