Affiliate Program

What is the TBC Affiliate program?

The Baseball Cube Affiliate program is a system whereby webmasters try to help TBC sell their products with the promise of a commission after a sale has been made. The idea is to create a partnership whereby The Baseball Cube is able to increase sales of its data products and memberships and referring webmasters are able to earn a little extra money on the side.

How does it work?

Once you have notified us that you are interested, we send you a link with a special code that is specific to your site only. A visitor who clicks on the link and ends up on The Baseball Cube now belongs to you and so if this visitor decides to click-through and buy one of the products today or up to 90 days later, you are given credit for the sale and you receive the appropriate commission. Commissions are paid out monthly through PayPal.

How much are commissions?

Commissions are 20% minus paypal fees. On a $45 sale, you will earn $9-the paypal fee (less than 50 cents on a $9 charge.) You will be paid on the 30th of each month if there are any sales for you that month. Though most of our sales are for pre-packaged data products, you will also receive credit for custom data packages which can cost much more. You will still receive 20% of these sales.

How many sales can I expect a month? are commissions?

Though the program hasn't been around long enough to determine an expected conversion rate, just remember that not everyone who comes through will buy and so you cannot expect to receive commissions on every click-through. The best course of action is to promote the products on your site beyond a simple link at the bottom of the page. Generating one click-through every other day will not earn you much commission. If you run a Blog, you should promote the products every now and again or create graphical link-throughs to help promote the products and memberships. We'll try to get some banners up and running within the next few weeks to help affiliates make extra sales.

What qualifies as a commission?

All data sales qualify. This includes products on the Data Store page as well as Custom Data products that originate from that same page. If somebody sees the ad on your page and ends up buying data without clicking-through, then there is no commission as we cannot prove that the buyer came from your site.
