There are more than 8600 high school pages on The Baseball Cube. Each of these pages lists the players who were known to have attended the school. There is no official criteria for inclusion. There were two rounds of research done to create special pages for these high schools and the basis for inclusion started with the number of players attending the school. Schools with the most players got created first and then everything afterwards was random. We'll likely go through another round of additions at some point in the future.

Some player profiles have a high school listed but it is not linked and so you might ask why it can't have its own page? There's no nice answer to the question. Of course it can have its own page but we had to stop somewhere.

Its also important to note that players can only be linked to one high school and we've made the general rule that we'll include the high school from which he graduated. If a player attended additional high schools, it can be included in his trivia and notes section. Though the player will not be included on the high school page for that second high school.

A final note on high schools is the inconsistency with which many schools are listed throughout different reference materials. Many of our source publications do not include the correct city for a high school or they might include a variation on the name of the school. For example, Adams High School vs John Adams High School. Sometimes publications will list the city where the player resided next to the correct high school. Its impossible for us to know the exact town in which the school exists and so we've done research where possible but there are almost certainly duplicate schools or schools listed in the wrong town. Please don't hesitate to send us corrections for these high schools.
